GO BRAVES

Last night was a great game for me, the Braves, and Braves fans. Not only did we beat the first place Marlins, but we played phenomenal ball. I'm not going to go into too much detail as you may not give a crap about the Braves. But it was awesome. And we won. And that makes me happy. Now, if we can only win again tonight, then again tomorrow, then again on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday we'll be in great shape. But moving on...

I had a very lazy weekend. So lazy that I'm tired from being so lazy. Weekends when you really do nothing are great to have every once in a while. I don't feel like I wasted two days away from work, I still managed to hit Publix. Hell, we even went to the nasty Farmers Market on PIB at Chamblee Tucker (don't go there) and my absolute favorite - the Buford Highway Farmers Market (of BFM if you're in the know). If you've never been there you really need to check it out. It's on Buford Hwy just outside of 285 across from K Mart (I didn't know K Mart was still in business, but they are). It's incredibly overwhelming when you walk in, there is stuff (and people) everywhere. English is not the most spoken language by any means, but most people speak some English so you can communicate. Talk about fresh produce and meat... You can get the head cut off the piece of salmon you want to purchase right in front of you (not for the weak stomached or animal lovers). AND, if you want tea, they have it all, teas I've never heard of. And there is an entire aisle of it, and I'm not talking an aisle like at CVS, I'm talking an aisle like at Wal-Mart, like the biggest, longest aisle you've ever seen and it's all full of tea!!! Plus, they have a fun "housewares" section with cool Sake sets and other things that I'm not really sure what purpose they serve but they look cool. And every ethnicity is represented, in fact, with the exception of the gigantic tea aisle (did I mention how big this aisle is?) most regions/countries/whatevers are broken down by aisle. You can literally visit Vietnam, Korea, Mexico, China, and any country in South America within an hour. If you plan on going (and you should!) bring a friend (this is not a conquer alone type place) and your patients. The produce and meat departments are always crowded and it can be scary at times, but once you get into the "belly" of the store the crowd thins out. Oh, and they also sell Apple Jacks.
